Celebrities that should have their own travel shows

During the Pandemic, I had binge watched as much of Anthony Bourdain as possible to get my travel fix in, and had found a new love for travel shows. What made Bourdain so special, was the fact he knew he was not the star of his show, the location he was visiting, and the food he ate, and people he spoke to there were.

In addition to re-watching Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, No Reservations and The Layover, I’ve also discovered various YouTube channels with similar great content.

We’ve also seen celebrities such as Ewan McGregor, Zac Efron and Stanley Tucci create limited series revolving around travel, and it’s honestly a genre I cannot get enough of.

But enough about existing content, let me hypothesise about people who should create travel content.

Mattia Binotto & Guenther Steiner

This F1 Duo captured people’s hearts with their chemistry during Netflix’s drive to survive. Both Italian’s were team principals of Ferrari and Haas’ respective teams, but both are now out of work. So why not? After having a glimpse of the dynamic duo bantering in beautiful Italian vineyards, I am left yearning to see more of them.

Daniel Ricciardo

(These aren’t all F1 personalities, bear with me). Danny Ricciardo is the loveable rogue of Formula 1, from pranking fellow drivers, to cracking jokes with interviewers, he lightens up the screen whenever you get a glimpse of him. He launched an instagram account showing life on the road (during an F1 season), but after his driving career is over, I’d love to see him show us just life on the road as he travels.

Peggy Gou

Korean DJ and musical superstar Peggy Gou has had such an international life thus far, from her hometown close to Seoul, to her adopted home city of Berlin, Peggy has gave us a glimpse of her travels through the instagram account @peggyseyes, though it’s now dormant, I think Peggy could introduce a wider audience to interesting locations around the world.

Daniel Radcliffe

The actor who introduced us to the wizarding world should surely show us the magic of the real world around us. He’s always jumped into life head first, and famously partied with an Irish football team that had just won the championship. It would be great following Daniel Radcliffe around the world jumping into life with the same enthusiasm he’s known for.

Ian Paisley Jr.

The former MP was known to travel a lot during his tenure in politics, so why not pursue it now as his main job now his political career is over? As he demonstrates his lightheartedness below after learning he lost his position in politics, why not allow him to take us around the world showing us locations near and far – showing us more of his lightheartedness.
