(Pronounced which-eek-cow)
About me, I’m Pádraig, a 30 year old born in Dundalk (Ireland). I currently live and work in Belfast. I’ve got a degree in Sociology and currently work in Pharmaceuticals. I thought I wanted to teach, and whilst living near Wolverhampton teaching, I realised teaching wasn’t for me.
I’ve always been interested in what’s going on around me, and whilst I’m observing, many people mistake me as quiet (once you get to know me, you’ll realise I’m anything but).
Why did I start this blog? A variety of reasons, I absolutely love the feeling of waking up somewhere unfamiliar, experiencing unfamiliar things and a different way of life. This blog firstly is like a diary of my trips, reminding me of what I did when visiting each country, and it’s a way to share my experiences with others. I’ve been asked a lot about the places I’ve been to, so I thought sharing them online was a sensible step to take since people have been interested in them. Through getting involved in blogging, I have interacted with other travel bloggers who have been really helpful with advising places to visit for me whilst exploring new cities/countries.
Whilst there are thousands of travel blogs out there, I seek to put my own mark on the world of travel blogs with Whichicao, paying particular interest to the football culture of wherever I visit, sampling local beer, learning about the historical and sociological aspects of wherever I may go.
I’m making my way around the world slowly, sadly travelling isn’t my full time job, so I can only go abroad when my job/bank account allow. But in my time spent travelling I have learned a lot, and I hope to share some of this with you through tips, and summaries of my adventures.
Blog posts can be found here and feel free to follow me on Facebook, instagram or Twitter to stay up to date with any new posts. And if you’ve any questions, please feel free to reach out to me on one of my social media channels.
